Bo Østerberg Kristensen

Background

Bo is Vice President of Information Technology at Canpotex Limited in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Canpotex supports global food security by supplying potash that helps farmers improve yields and crop quality. In his role, Bo helps advance the company’s mission to reliably deliver high-quality Canadian potash to international partners today and into the future.

With more than 30 years of hands-on leadership experience, Bo is known for guiding organizations that deliver value-added services and meaningful business results. He combines strategic vision with practical execution to support effective management, growth, and performance.

Before joining Canpotex, Bo held senior technology and consulting roles, including Executive Director of Technology Risk Consulting at KPMG Canada in Saskatoon, Head of Consulting at inu:it in Greenland, and Vice President of Service Delivery, Group IT at Vestas Wind Systems in Denmark. He has also worked in Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and his experience leading complex IT environments and transformational technology change positions him to guide Canpotex’s IT initiatives with a strategic, innovative, and practical approach.

Bo has a strong record of governance, community leadership, and social impact. He co-led KPMG’s National Indigenous People’s Network across Canada, served on KPMG’s Council for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, and holds board roles with Elmwood Residences, Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation, and Saskatoon Community Foundation. In 2023, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for his community contributions.
